Widow Voyages has partnered with a receptive tour operator in New England which has provided us with some great great pricing for this two nation vacation to Maine and New Brunswick. We have a 10 person MINIMUM for this trip and the registration deadline is August 15, 2017. In light of this minimum, we are offering this payment plan to assist you in your financial planning:

7 Days, 6 Nights. Two Nations.

Fly into Portland, Maine - United and Delta Airline Discounts available. We will have dinner, then rest. The rest of the week will fly by as we explore Maine and New Brunswick via charter transportation, boat, and carriage.

Day 1 Fly into Portland, Maine where we will overnight at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn. Dinner is included.

Day 2 We will enjoy a full breakfast before setting out on a 'Jewel of the Coast' tour of beautiful Camden including panoramic views from Mount Battie overlooking scenic Penobscot Bay and the Gulf of Maine. Hear about the rich maritime history of this seaside village. Lunch will follow in Camden Village at Mariner's Restaurant. We will have time to shop in the village before setting off on a Bar Harbor Nature Cruise which is a narrated cruise along Maine’s rugged Acadian coastline. Enjoy the pristine landscape, rocky coastline, seals, eagles, osprey, harbor porpoise, Egg Island Lighthouse, summer mansions and the scenic Porcupine Islands. We will arrive at Bar Harbor for a 2 nights stay and enjoy a Maine Lobster meal for dinner that evening.

Day 3 After an expanded continental breakfast, we will meet our guide for a tour of Acadia National Park. Be amazed by the natural wonders of this Maine Treasure. You will travel to the Peak of Cadillac Mountain for breathtaking views of the mountains and the Atlantic. Venture to Otter Point and experience the rocky cliffs jutting out into the crashing surf. Witness the wonder of Sieur De Mont Springs and the power of the surf at Thunder Hole. Lunch will be a very special experience at the Jordan Pond House Lunch. Enjoy lunch as you take in the incredible scenery…Jordan Pond, Penobscot Mountain and the Bubbles. Stroll the beautiful Jordan Pond House Gardens. Afterwards we will take a Acadia Carriage Trail Wagon Ride and breath in the fresh Maine air on a leisurely, horse-drawn ride along Acadia’s first trails. These trails, chosen by John D. Rockefeller himself, were designed with the landscape in mind, making sure they flowed beautifully and effortlessly into their natural surroundings. Dinner that evening will be on your own in Bar Harbor

Day 4 We will start off the day with an expanded continental breakfast and then head to West Quoddy Light where the sun first rises in the United States, visit Maine’s famous striped lighthouse and visitor‘s center. Lunch will follow at the Fireside Restaurant at Roosevelt Park. We will then tour the summer cottage of Franklin Delano Roosevelt on Roosevelt’s Campobello Island located on a beautiful oceanfront property in New Brunswick, Canada. Learn about FDR’s many summers on Campobello Island, both as a child and later as an adult with his family. Today Roosevelt Campobello International Park serves as a memorial to FDR and a symbol of cooperation between the U.S. and Canada. Dinner included. Accommodations at Hampton Inn and Suites in St. John, New Brunswick for 2 nights.

Day 5 Following an expanded continental breakfast, we head to the famous Fundy National Park where a step-on guide will take us through this spectacular Acadian Highlands Region with its rugged shoreline, inland forests and unique eco-systems. Lunch will follow at Hopewell Rocks High Tide Cafe. Afterwards we will tour The Hopewell Rocks, “The Ocean Tidal Exploration Site“ - Recognized as one of Canada’s best natural sites. Here, the power of the Bay of Fundy tides can be witnessed (the most drastic in the world). See curious rock formations sculpted by the tides known as the world’s largest “Flower Pots”. Visit the Ocean Tidal Exploration Centre offering a great view of the Bay of Fundy….boasted as one of the Marine Wonders of the World. Before ending our day we will see Magnetic Hill, a natural phenomenon where it is said that cars and other rolling objects actually go uphill. Dinner included following our tour.

Day 6 We start the day with an expanded continental breakfast before heading to the Reversing Falls: See this natural phenomenon where the massive tides of the Bay of Fundy force the St. John River to churn, tumble and turn upstream through a rocky gorge. From there we will head to Bangor, ME which is the setting of many of Stephen King's novels - earning it the nickname of "Transylmania". We will enjoy Lunch at Dysart's and then head out on the Lighthouse Lover’s Cruise: Maine's rugged, rocky coast and picturesque lighthouses - what a combo! The scene unfolds as you cruise from Portland's scenic harbor seeing the Calendar Islands, coastal forts, Maine lobster boats, playful seals and an array of seabirds. View as many as seven lighthouses including an up-close experience at Maine’s oldest and historic lighthouse, Portland Headlight, proudly perched on one of Maine's famous rocky outcrops overlooking this beautiful harbor. Our last night will be back at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn. Dinner is included

Day 7 Departure day following a full breakfast. Check out time is at 11 a.m.
